Rainbow Bridge Update #5

Here in Cumberland, even though it’s early and the sun is shining, the day is full of hope and optimism.  So much has happened since Jade and I started our journey with the Rinbow Bidge home that it’s sometimes hard to pause for breath and take stock.

So that’s what I wanted to do this morning.  Sit back and take stock of things and here’s what happened.

I’ve realised that in Jade Kenney, I have found an amazing woman to partner with.  I’m so grateful that she is by my side in this journey and advise me.  She is incredible and such passion for the cause that it’s like standing in the presence of a hurricane that you can’t resist.  Recently we both spoke at an event to share our vision and what’s next for us and I would defy you not to say wow.  She’s a superstar.

Ever since we started, we have been pushing hard to raise sponsorship for the home and I can’t say thankyou enough to the wonderful people who have shared their donations with us to make this dream a reality.  It can be easy to forget that asking for donations depends on the generosity of others at a time when there always seems to be a good cause to contribute to, so to know that we have people out there that believe in us and what we’re doing is an amazing feeling.

I’m also grateful for this opportunity.  It’s given me the chance to learn so much and to do the kind of good that I want to do for my community.  I know I don’t always get it right, but the chance to make a difference is something that brings me joy on a daily basis.

I can’t wait for this to become a reality

Love and light

Kendra
