As many of you know, I’m associated with a charity called Rainbow bridge, which is run by my daughter Kendra Brill (it’s so strange to be able to say that !) and her business partner Jade Kenney have established in Cumberland USA.
Since our Journey started in March 2018, I can’t believe how far these two incredible women have come. In less than 8 weeks, Rainbow bridge has gone from being an idea, to a reality, with Kendra moving into the house recently to begin the hard work of turning it into a home to realise our shared vision of creating a safe space for vulnerable LGBT+ youth.
In addition to moving in, Jade and Kendra have been hard at work appearing at conferences and spreading the message of hope that Rainbow Bridge brings at a number of events, from news coverage, conferences and Jades own very special World Recovery Video Channel. (You can find the latest video https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2F1770552259661565%2Fvideos%2F1839976609385796%2F&show_text=0&width=560“>here) It’s an exciting time, but we desperately still need your help to keep this dream alive and maintain the momentum we have achieved.
So what do we need ? Money helps of course (You can donate here) but we’d love other things too. If you’ve ever tried to build something like this, you’ll know how much effort and energy it takes too. Your support, through sharing our page helps broadcast our vision and dream. You can also join in with our efforts to turn the house into a home. Donations of furnishings, tradework or even volunteering with us would be so gratefully received. We’d even appreciate you just getting in touch with us and letting us know you’re on our side.
